On Yourself
What does self-discovery mean to you?

Leaning into the uncomfortable. Exploring the dark areas. Being present and aware of my emotional and physical response to myself and the world. And trusting my gut to know what I like and what I don't. To know where I want to invest time and where I don't.

Can you describe your relationship to your sexuality?

Comfortable, playful, adventurous, and sometimes tentative and insecure. A rotating merry-go-round of ever changing and evolving feelings.

On Sexuality
How do you give yourself pleasure?

I listen to what my mind, body, and heart are telling me. Sometimes I need to speed up, sometimes I need to slow down. Often I need to open my senses and experience the moment I'm in.

How do you ask for what you want?

“I ask for what I want clearly. There is pride in knowing what you want and asking for what you deserve.”

On Womankind
What's my favorite part about being a woman?

My favorite part about being a woman is being a part of female tribes. Female friendships are powerful. The women in my life lift me up and celebrate me, they let me know I'm not alone, they make scary experiences less scary, and they support me in all the big and little ways.

What advice would you have for women early in their self-discovery?

Try everything. You don't know what you like and don't like unless you try new things. Don't be afraid. And know you are not the first, and won't be the last, to try what you're interested in exploring.

In terms of pleasure, what do you think women don't talk about enough?

Women are often taught to be givers. We need to continue to work to ask for what we want and to not be ashamed. The more we share, the more we know that others have experienced what we are experiencing - or are interested in doing it too.
