What does self-discovery mean to you?
Self-discovery is patience, curiosity, and openness. Allowing yourself to feel what you feel. If a feeling is asking you to act, act.
Can you describe your relationship to your sexuality?
My sexuality is incredibly dear to me. If I lose my relationship with my sexuality—whether from external or internal afflictions—I feel completely off-balance in other houses of my life. For me, sexuality is intimacy, and that can mean stillness and enjoying the light at a particular time of day; sharing how I feel; physicality; with another or just myself. Definitely all built on a foundation of some serious alone time. However this intimacy takes form, the relationship is a key part of a feedback loop that pours life into other people, projects, and creations in my life.
On SexualityHow do you give yourself pleasure? How do you ask for what you want?
However it is, with presence, time, and also attention to the senses. I’m very attuned to light, sound, material, and the presence of others.
How do you ask for what you want?
With lightness and with comfort in vulnerability.
What’s your favorite part about being a woman?
You know, I tried to think of a better answer to this, but honestly: silk dress over smooth legs on a breezy day. And no you don’t have to be a woman to feel this, so if you’re curious, maybe you should try ;)
What advice would you have for women early in their self-discovery?
To what I said earlier: Constantly check in with yourself and ask how you’re feeling, let yourself really feel that feeling, and if the feeling is asking you to act, act. Some feelings are fine to just be felt, others will want to evolve.
In terms of pleasure, what do you think women don’t talk about enough?
Who we are really doing things for.
